Golden Drip Cake


Ingredients:
-
(3) 6" vanilla cakes - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Double batch vanilla American buttercream frosting - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE
-
Gold/white sprinkle mix
-
Edible gold paint
-
Cake comb
-
White candy melts
-
Heavy cream
-
Plastic squeeze bottle
Cake Assembly Directions:
-
Step 1: Level cakes with a "cake leveler" or serrated knife

Step 2: Spread frosting on center of cake board
-
Step 3: Place 1st layer on top of cake board
-
Step 4: Cover layer with frosting
-
Step 5: Place 2nd layer on top

Step 6: Cover layer with frosting

Step 7: Place 3rd layer upside down on top of cake

Step 8: Cover entire cake with frosting

Step 9: Smooth out frosting on sides and top

Step 10: Place in fridge for 20 minutes

Step 11: Remove from fridge and cover with a 2nd layer of frosting and smooth

Step 12: Using a cake comb, go around the sides of cake

Step 13: Place cake in fridge for another 20 minutes

Step 14: While cooling, mix white candy melts + heavy cream and melt in microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Once melted and cooled put in squeeze bottle

Step 15: With the squeeze bottle, drip around outside of cake.

Step 16: Pipe dollups in a circle around the top
-
Step 17: Add sprinkles to top of dollups
