Stars Cake

Ingredients:

Cake Assembly Directions

  • Step 1: Use cake leveler or serrated knife to cut off top and make flat 

  • Step 2: Spread small amount of buttercream at center of cake board

  • Step 3: Place the cake layer down

  • Step 4: Use an ice cream scoop to put on 2 scoops of buttercream

  • Step 5: Smooth buttercream

  • Step 6: Place 2nd cake layer down

  • Step 7: Repeat frosting process

  • Step 8: Place top layer on upside down

  • Step 9: Cover entire cake with frosting

  • Step 10: Put cake in fridge for 20 minutes

  • Step 11: Pipe 2 rows of dark blue at bottom of cake

  • Step 12: Pipe 2 rows of medium blue above dark

  • Step 13: Pipe 2 rows of light blue above medium

  • Step 13: Cover top with light blue

  • Step 14: With a cake scraper smooth out sides

  • Step 15: If frosting has air bubbles, heat up metal cake scraper (dry off) then smooth again

  • Step 16: Smooth out top

  • Step 17: Place cake in fridge again for 20 minutes

  • Step 18: With a star stencil, place on sides of cake and cover with white frosting

  • Step 19: Remove excess frosting and then carefully peal off stencil

  • Step 20: Repeat steps around all sides of cake and top
