Spiral Cake

Ingredients:

(4) 8 inch vanilla cakes - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Double batch vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream frosting (white & blue) - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Wilton #30 piping tip

Round piping tip
Cake Assembly Directions:

Step 1: Level cake layers with "cake leveler" or serrated knife

Step 2: Spread frosting on center of cake board

Step 3: Place down 1st cake layer on board

Step 4: Do a spiral pattern of buttercream in between each cake layer using round piping tip for blue and white

Step 5: Repeat steps for 2nd and 3rd layer

Step 6: For the 4th layer, place upside down

Step 7: Pile white frosting on top and completely cover with a crumb coat

Step 8: Place in fridge for 20 minutes

Step 9: Remove from fridge and mark 8 sections on top and 8 on sides with ruler

Step 10: Fill in sections using white and blue buttercream (with #30 tip) in between the lines (start with sides first and then move to top)
