Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups flour
-
1-1/2 cups sugar
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp cocoa powder
-
1-1/2 cups vegetable oil
-
2 eggs
-
1 cup buttermilk
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp white vinegar
-
2 tbsp red food coloring
-
Vegetable oil sprah
Directions:

Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt

Step 3: In another bowl, whisk together oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, vanilla

Step 4: In bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the dry and wet ingredients until fully combined

Step 5: Scrape down bowl and mix 1 more time

Step 6: Grease cake pans with vegetable oil spray (makes (2) 8 inch cakes or (3) 6 inch cakes)

Step 7: Place parchment circle at bottom of each cake pan

Step 8: Evenly divide the batter between cake pans

Step 9: Bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
*** FOR CUPCAKES, COOK AT SAME TEMP OF 350 DEGREES, 18 - 20 MINUTES
