Optical Illusion Cake

Ingredients:

Cake Assembly Directions:

  • Step 1: Level the cake with a "cake leveler"

  • Step 2: Put a dollup of frosting at center of cake board

  • Step 3: Place down 1st layer

  • Step 4: Pipe concentric circles alternating between pink and white

  • Step 5: Place down 2nd layer

  • Step 6: Repeat concentric circles

  • Step 7: Place down 3rd layer

  • Step 8: Cover entire cake with a crumb coat of white buttercream

  • Step 9: Put in fridge for 20 minutes

  • Step 10: Remove from fridge and put on another coat of white frosting

  • Step 11: Roll out fondant and with a diamond cookie cutter cut out black white, and pink pieces

  • Step 12: Place fondant cutouts onto cake as video shows to create an optical illusion
