Mint Chocolate Chip
Drip Cake


Ingredients:
-
(4) 8 inch green vanilla chocolate chip cakes - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE (just add chocolate chips + green food dye)

Chocolate American buttercream frosting - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Double batch of Mint American buttercream frosting- (I used vanilla American buttercream CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE and added 1 tsp mint extract + green food coloring)

Chocolate Ganache - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Mini chocolate chips
Cake Assembly Directions
-
Step 1: Level all cake layers using "cake leveler" or serrated knife

Step 2: Spread chocolate frosting onto center of cake board

Step 3: Place 1st cake layer down on board

Step 4: Cover top of cake with chocolate frosting

Step 5: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top of frosting

Step 6: Repeat cake/frosting process for the next 2 layers

Step 7: For the 4th layer, place upside down

Step 8: Pile mint frosting on top of cake and cover completely as a crumb coat

Step 9: Place in fridge for 20 minutes

Step 10: Remove from fridge and put on 2nd coat of mint frosting

Step 11: Put chocolate frosting and mint frosting into separate piping bags with round tips

Step 12: Pipe 2 rings of chocolate frosting on bottom of cake

Step 13: Pipe 2 rings of mint frosting above

Step 14: Continue with 2 more rings of chocolate frosting and cover remaining with mint frosting

Step 15: Cover top with mint chocolate frosting

Step 16: With a bench scraper, smooth out sides of cake

Step 17: Place cake in fridge again for 20 minutes

Step 18: Remove from fridge and with a squeeze bottle drip ganache down sides of cake

Step 19: Spread ganache on top of cake and smooth

Step 20: Sprinkle chocolate chips on top
