Kawaii Present Cake

Ingredients:

(3) 8x8 square red velvet cakes - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

American vanilla buttercream frosting (white & green) - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Red, black, white, pink fondant
Coloring Fondant/Cake Assembly Directions:

Step 1: Roll out red fondant 1/8" thick, cut into 1" long strips that are 1/2 inch width to make bow
-
Step 2: Watch video for bow assembly instructions

Step 3: Let bow dry for 2 hours before assembling

Step 4: Spread buttercream on center of cake board

Step 5: Place down 1st layer of cake

Step 6: Spread white frosting on top of cake layer and smooth with offset spatula

Step 7: Place down layer #2 and repeat frosting process

Step 8: Place down layer #3 upside down

Step 9: Cover cake in a thin layer of green buttercream

Step 10: Place in fridge for 20 minutes

Step 11: Remove from fridge and put on a thick layer of green frosting

Step 12: Roll out more red fondant and cut 2 strips that are 14"x1"

Step 13: Place both strips on top of cake opposite each other

Step 14: Stick frosting at the center of ribbon crossing and assemble bow loops in a circle pattern

Step 15: Cut out face details with black, white, and pink fondant

Step 16: Place details on cake
