Ice Cream Scoop Cake

Ingredients:
Cake Assembly Instructions
  • Step 1: Level all cakes with a "cake leveler" or serrated knife

  • Step 2: Spread frosting at center of cake board

  • Step 3: Place down 1st cake layer

  • Pipe frosting on top of layer

  • Place down 2nd cake layer

  • Pipe frosting on top of layer

  • Cover entire cake with frosting

  • Place in fridge for 20 minutes

  • On a separate sheet, use an ice cream scoop to scoop out 3 of each color of frosting, place in fridge to harden (about 20 minutes)

  • Remove cake from fridge and put on a 2nd coat of frosting

  • Smooth out with a bench scraper

  • Take waffle cones and cut in half

  • Spread frosting on top half of cone, then cover with sprinkles

  • Place all 6 cones around the cake 

  • Remove frosting "ice cream" scoops from fridge and place on top of cones, separating by color

  • Place 2nd frosting scoop on top of 1st one.
