Cinnamon Roll Cake

Ingredients:

  • (3) 6" Vanilla cakes (add cinnamon to recipe) - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

  • Container of unbaked cinnamon rolls

  • Vanilla Swiss Meringue buttercream (add cinnamon to recipe), dye 1 color into 3 shades of beige - CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE

Cake Assembly Directions

  • Step 1: Bake cinnamon rolls as per container instructions

  • Step 2: Level each cake with a cake leveler or serrated knife

  • Step 3: Secure down 1st layer with vanilla frosting

  • Step 3: Cover layer with frosting

  • Step 4: Place down 2nd cake layer

  • Step 5: Cover layer with frosting

  • Step 6: Place down 3rd cake layer upside down

  • Step 7: Cover entire cake with frosting

  • Step 8: Place cake in fridge for 20 minutes

  • Step 9: Remove from fridge and pipe darkest shade around the bottom, medium shade around the middle, and lightest shade around the top and covering the entire top of cake as well

  • Step 10: With a bench scraper smooth out sides of cakes, repeat until it's extremely smooth

  • Step 11: With a cake comb, go around entire cake until you have desired effect

  • Step 12: Pipe dollups on top

  • Place cinnamon rolls on top
